What is the MOMS Club® of Drexel Hill?
MOMS Club of Drexel Hill is part of the larger MOMS Club International which is a non-profit group providing support and social interaction for mothers and their kids. MOMS Club is about Moms Offering Moms Support!
Who can join the club?
Membership is open to any mother living in Drexel Hill, Upper Darby, and Lansdowne, PA. Our members are stay-at-home moms, working moms, and/or are earning degrees full-time.
Why should I join MOMS Club?
If you're a mom looking to make other mom friends in a judgement free zone then this group is for you. We're a pretty laid back group of women who get together to have fun. All our gatherings are informal. We're here to make friends and support each other. Even though there are many activities locally where you can take your kids it's nice to attend those events knowing you'll have friends to talk to when you're there.
What types of activities do you do?
Most of our activities happen during daylight hours on weekdays and are kid friendly except for Moms Night Out. Our activities include park play dates, tours, play dates at member homes, field trips and more. First and foremost though, we are a club for moms! Our goal is to have a balance of activities that encourage mothers to form friendships with each other while providing an atmosphere that is kid friendly. We do brunches, coffee meetups, and a monthly Moms Night Out. Also, as part of our mission as a non-profit organization, we organize service projects a few times a year benefiting mothers and children in our community and around the nation. What are members required to do?
As a member you are not required to attend a specific number of events or volunteer for anything. You don’t even have to attend our monthly meetings. You can be as active as you want to be. We’re all parents and we understand that we can be very busy at times and plans change last minute.
I have an infant. Is this group only for moms with older kids?
No! Moms of infants are welcome! A few of our members have babies and plan activities that are appropriate for them. The main goal of our group is to make friends with local moms and have a sense of community. For example you can still bring your baby to our annual Easter Egg Hunt so that you get a chance to chat with other moms and make new friends. Your little one grows so quickly. Soon they’ll be joining in “bigger kid” activities before you know it!
How much does membership cost?
Dues are $25 and cover one calendar year of membership. Renewal dues are due every year on your membership anniversary. Since MOMS Club is a non-profit organization only a small portion of our dues income goes toward member-benefiting activities in our chapter and the rest goes toward operating expenses, spreading the word about MOMS Club and donations to other non-profits. Most of our events are free or inexpensive.
Can I attend an event before joining?
Yes! Please come to our monthly MOMS Club meeting which is held on the first Thursday of the month at 10:00am at a local school. If that time of day doesn’t work for you then look at our list of events open to prospective members and let us know which one you'd like to attend. We’re always eager to meet new moms. Our group is awesome! We are a fun group of women and we welcome new members!
How do I join?
In order to become a member please contact us and let us know that you wish to join. We will send you two easy to fill out membership forms. You can pay the $25 annual dues using Paypal, Venmo, or a check. You will then receive access to our Google calendar, private Facebook group, and more. You are more than welcome to attend one or two of our events before deciding whether you'd like to join.
